Building AI agents at BAPL

I build what sits inside an AI agent, minus the model itself. Memory across sessions, retrieval over private knowledge, orchestration, and the UI a team actually uses. Right now I'm doing this for a consulting team in Brisbane.

He has already shipped the exact thing the role asks for. An orchestrated multi-agent system, in production.

He understands the consulting motion from the inside. Past roles cut 30% of manual work and saved $20K+ in prospecting costs.

He covers the full stack, from messy data, through retrieval and orchestration, to the UI a consultant will actually open.

Started in spreadsheets. Building agents now.

I'm Revanth. I started where most data analysts start: cleaning messy spreadsheets, building dashboards nobody asked for, and trying to turn vague business problems into something a stakeholder could actually act on. I did my Computer Science degree in India and my Master's in IT at Griffith in Brisbane, then worked in a few analyst roles where I learned one thing. It's more useful to understand the business well than to be the fastest with the data. That habit turns out to be exactly what AI agent work needs.

At BAPL I'm building an end-to-end AI agent system for a consulting firm. Work that used to start from scratch each time now runs through a set of agents, each owning one part of the workflow and sharing memory, so a consultant can pick up exactly where the previous one left off. The team delivers work faster, and the firm can take on more without growing headcount.

The way I think about AI work is simple. We don't train the brain. We use one that's already trained. What I build is everything that sits around it. The memory that carries across sessions. The retrieval that finds the right knowledge at the right moment. The controls that decide who can see what. The orchestration between agents. The interface a consultant will actually open. I figured this out the first time I built a dashboard. The data on its own wasn't worth much. The system around it was what made it useful. AI agents work the same way. I'd rather build things that keep working when nobody is watching them.

Where I'm headed

Right now I'm doing this for one consulting firm. Next, I want to make the same pattern work across more domains, so it becomes the kind of backbone a services business runs on rather than a one off experiment. Longer term, I want to be the person companies call when they need AI that actually plugs into their existing systems and delivers real results, instead of a demo that never ships.

Same brain. New stack.

The first half of the job didn't change. Only the deliverable did.

Then (analyst)

Understand the business problem

Find the relevant (always messy) data

Clean it, model it, build the dashboard

Hand it over so a human can decide

Now (AI builder)

Understand the business problem

Map the process and the existing knowledge

Design and orchestrate the AI agents

Agents do the work. Humans stay in the loop

The highlighted dots mark the parts of the job that carried over.

Not vanity metrics. Real outcomes.

I measure every project by what changed once I was done, not by how busy I was while doing it.

Multi-Agent System · Orchestration · Knowledge Layer · Access Control

End-to-End AI Agent System for a Consulting Firm

An orchestrated system of AI agents that lets a consulting team pick up exactly where they last left off. Each agent owns one part of the workflow and they share session memory, so the team is not starting from scratch each time. Orchestration, a shared knowledge layer, and role based access control tie the system together.

Each step of the workflow has a dedicated agent, with humans in the loop at every decision point that needs judgment

Session memory lets the team resume any piece of work without losing context

Role based access, so each agent only sees what the user is allowed to

Designed to keep working when nobody is watching it, not as a one-off demo

Architecture of the multi-agent system: a consultant works through an agent UI, an orchestration layer coordinates specialised agents for past engagements, work planning, service approach and templates, all sharing session memory, a knowledge layer and role-based access.
